Bio: I’ve spent the past 25 years learning and applying Toyota Production System principles in a wide variety of industries and work environments. The first 10 years of my career I worked in Japan as a manufacturing engineer and operations manager in automotive and aerospace companies where I first encountered continuous improvement being practiced as a way of thinking and working with people. Since then I’ve worked with remarkable people in other industries such as heavy equipment manufacturing, finance, medical technology, healthcare, state governments, and others – all striving to make transformational changes within their organizations.
At Quest Diagnostics, I provide strategic direction and coaching across operations on how to apply continuous improvement as a central pillar of the Quest Management System (QMS). This involves close partnerships with regional teams to develop the mindset and behaviors needed for daily process improvement to become the way we work all the time. I have BS degree from the University of Wisconsin and a MS from Kyoto University of Foreign Studies.
