Bio: Vicki Livingston surveys the standards in the Comprehensive Accreditation Manual/Accreditation Manual for Pathology and Clinical Laboratory Services.Prior to joining The Joint Commission, Mrs. Livingston was Director of Quality/Risk Manager for Cannon Memorial Hospital in Pickens, South Carolina, Quality Reviewer and Medical Technologist at Greenville Hospital Systems, Greenville, South Carolina and Laboratory Director at Brandon Hospital in Brandon, Florida.Mrs. Livingston received her education and training in Medical Technology at Upstate Medical Center, Syracuse, New York and received a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from SUNY Binghamton, New York.Mrs. Livingston is licensed in the State of Florida as a Supervisor of Medical Technology in the specialties of Chemistry, Hematology, Immunohematology, Immunolgy, Microbiology, and Molecular Biology. She also has her national certification from the American Society of Clinical Pathologists.I choose to work at The Joint Commission because of their strong emphasis on quality and patient safety.
