Sachin Gupta

Bio: As Laboratory Quality and Informatics Lead at BayCare Health System, a 14-hospital, community-based health system, Dr. Sachin Gupta manages projects and makes improvements in laboratory processes by adding value to laboratory tests derived from appropriate test request and utilization, which reduces the cost of care. He takes a broad view of the lab data, identifying significant trends, and study health information to effectively improve patient safety and clinical outcomes. Dr. Gupta has published over 25 articles in peer-reviewed journals and was awarded with ASCP’s 40 under forty honor as a future leader and innovator in pathology and laboratory medicine. Dr. Gupta is Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and has received his Bachelor’s degree in medical laboratory technology and Master’s (honors) degree in biochemistry. He earned his Ph.D. in molecular pathology and completed his post-doctoral fellowship at Miller School of Medicine at the University of Miami. He has also received a Masters of Business Administration degree in health sector administration and policy from the University of Miami and was honored for academic excellence from Beta Gamma Sigma, an international honor society of business excellence.
