Mike Kimpland

Bio: Mike Kimpland is currently the Supply Chain Analyst at Miraca Life Sciences. He gained his analyst experience studying Electromechanical Engineering at Wentworth Institute of Technology, and Economics at the University of Massachusetts. While at the University, he also held roles as material planner and procurement manager at Applied Analytics and Geophysical Survey Systems. He has co-owned his own consulting business, J&S Analytics since 2011.

Kimpland has an extensive background in quality and engineering, including TQM and Lean Six Sigma. Specializing in supply chain management, he has leveraged his engineering and economics background to completely change or improve supply chain functions at a range of institutions. He’s known for using data to focus the efforts of limited resources and to gain buy-in among stakeholders.

He is striving to become Miraca’s first “home grown” Black Belt, as he works to influence continuous improvement across lab locations and support Miraca’s role as a quality leader.
