Michael Oswald

Bio: Mike Oswald received his B.A. in Business Management from Silver Lake College, an Emergency Medical Technician certification from CPCC, and has completed the International Management Program at the Stockholm School of Economics.  He joined Boulder Associates in 2017 as a Master Lean Consultant, and has held several operations leadership roles, program management, and engineering positions over his 25 plus year lean journey. He was a Director, Lean Master in the Operational Excellence group at Atrium Health (Carolinas Healthcare System) supporting operational improvements in the ED, Lab, Pharmacy, Radiology, Behavior Health and IP service lines. He led the effort to design and implement a new Core laboratory – which is the best performing Lab in the U.S. Mike was part of the Toyota family for 5 years, holding an operational leadership role during start up and production of the Tundra. He held a Global Director role for Munters Corp – establishing the Munters way for the global organization. He was the program manager for the launch of the current Mercury Marine large outboard product. Mike blends theory with real world experience, and has a strong interest in leadership and process improvement within healthcare, manufacturing, and logistics/materials management. He is a practicing EMT/Firefighter, a certified Lean Six Sigma/Black Belt, a Scrum Master, a public speaker and community advocate, and loves collaborating directly with end users. Mike pursues active pastimes and donates time within the community through his efforts with the local fire department and other community based charitable causes.
