Gregory Shaw
Bio: Gregory Shaw, MLT RT, graduated from the New Brunswick Community College Medical Laboratory Technology Program in 2001. He currently holds the position of Administrative Director, Laboratory Services, Miramichi Area within Horizon Health Network in New Brunswick, Canada. He is responsible for the operation of the Miramichi Regional Hospital Laboratory which is a medium-sized laboratory employing a 45 staļ¬ members. He also manages the Horizon Laboratory Quality, Safety and Process Management group, Laboratory Information System group, and the Administrative Lead for the Transfusion Medicine and Cytology Division.
Shaw has worked in various platforms and laboratory models which include Canadian Blood Services, Canadian Department of National Defense, and private insurance-based laboratories. He has also worked on the New Brunswick Provincial Electronic Health Record initiative, the Laboratory Lead. Additionally, he previously worked at the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital in Bermuda as the Manager for the Transfusion Service Department.
