Bio: Ernest Franklin is the Vice President, Surgical and Ancillary Services for Baylor Health Care System in Dallas, Texas. In this role, he leads the operating rooms, laboratory, pharmacy, and radiology services across the 12-hospital system. He comes to Baylor from the consulting firm of McKinsey and Company, where he was a leader in the global healthcare operations practice, helping hospitals in the U.S., Canada, Hong Kong, and United Kingdom improve their efficiency and effectiveness of care in the inpatient and outpatient venues.

Before joining McKinsey, Franklin was a general surgeon, graduating as the Chief Administrative Resident in Surgery at Barnes-Jewish Hospital/Washington University Medical School and the Joseph Lister Visiting Registrar in Surgery at the Glasgow Royal Infirmary in Scotland. He graduated with alpha omega alpha honors from Tulane University School of Medicine.
