Denise Heaney
Bio: Denise Heaney recently re-joined Medical and Scientific Affairs as the Senior Scientific Affairs Manager for the Diagnostics Information Solutions (DIS) Division. In this role, she supports investigator-initiated studies, Roche-sponsored studies, scientific communications as well execute medical plans and activities for DIS applications.
Denise has been with Roche over 10 years in a variety of roles including Strategic Business Development Manager, Public Health and Molecular Clinical Specialist supporting the Southeast territory of the Molecular Diagnostics Division. Outside of Roche, Denise was a laboratory director for both Molecular Pathology and Histocompatibility and Molecular Immunogenetics laboratories. She has previously been an inspector for the College of American Pathologists and a long standing member of the Association of Molecular Pathology.
Denise earned bachelor’s degrees in chemistry and biochemistry, along with a minor in zoology, from North Carolina State University. She obtained her PhD in pathology from the Medical University of South Carolina.
