Debbie Dickman
Bio: Debbie Dickman has been the manager of the Diagnostic Hematology Laboratory at Florida Hospital in Orlando for the past 15 years. The Diagnostic Hematology Laboratory analyzes more than 5,000 cases by flow cytometry and evaluates more than 2,000 bone marrows each year. Under Dickman’s leadership, Florida Hospital implemented 10-color flow cytometry, becoming one of the first clinical laboratories in the state of Florida to use that process for diagnosing leukemias and lymphomas. More recently, Dickman has participated in several process improvement projects in pathology using 2D barcodes and electronic ordering for pathology cases.
