Carlene Keane-Phipps

Bio: Carlene Keane-Phipps has more than 22 years of anatomic pathology experience and extensive knowledge of laboratory operations. She joined CBLPath in 2006 as a manager and rose through the ranks of the leadership team to be named Senior Director of Laboratory Operations. During her tenure, she was responsible for the growth and expansion of CBLPath’s Immunohistochemistry (IHC) and Fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) Laboratories. In 2010 she was promoted to Director of Esoteric Studies and IHC Operations and was key stakeholder in the successful addition of the Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) Laboratory.

Ongoing accomplishments include overseeing the expansion of more than 150 new tests and expanding technologies, streamlining of the histology laboratory workflow to include process improvement and workflow redesign which increased production while enhancing quality indicators and quality improvements.
