Bio: Kim Collison MSA, MT(ASCP) is the Director of Laboratory Services at Spectrum Health in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Kim received her BS in Biology at Aquinas College and her Master of Science in Health Service Administration from Central Michigan University. Kim has 37 years of laboratory management experience and is now serving as the Director of the Spectrum Health Advanced Technology Laboratories and Microbiology. She has been responsible for the growth of the esoteric testing in Molecular Diagnostics, Flow Cytometry and Cytogenetics and is currently planning for the creation of an HLA lab. These labs have successfully implemented numerous process improvement activities and focus on continuous improvement. Kim is an experienced presenter and has numerous publications. She is an Adjunct Instructor for the Department of Pediatrics and Human Development at the Michigan State University Medical School and a Physician Assistant Studies Clinical Faculty Preceptor at Grand Valley State University. She is actively involved in community volunteer efforts and was recently named Woman of the Year by the West Michigan Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
