Lynda Leopold

Bio: Lynda Leopold has over 20 years of laboratory and regulatory compliance experience, and has been a certified medical laboratory technologist since 2003. As a Point of Care Coordinator at Henry Ford Hospital, she maintains oversight of a complex testing program encompassing multiple platforms and over 3,000 patient care staff members. During her time at Henry Ford, she has enthusiastically pursued multiple opportunities to contribute to enhanced collaboration between clinical and laboratory staff. By leading the process of development of the Point of Care team’s five IQCPs last year, she helped them imagine the potential of a standardized program. Her goal is to continue to inspire
the team to seek innovative ways to use standard processes as a means to reduce error, realize efficiencies, and ensure the highest-quality delivery of bedside laboratory testing. Leopold received her diploma in medical laboratory science from St. Clair College in Windsor, Ontario Canada, and was selected as the all-Ontario student leader that same year by the Ontario Society for Medical Laboratory Technology. She also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from the University of Windsor.
